Girl arrested for her role in kidnapping & attempt to rape her classmate in Odisha

Kendrapara, Oct 21 : Kudanagari police on Saturday apprehended a plus Two second-year minor girl student for her involvement in providing a drug-laced cold drink to one of her classmates and helping two youths in kidnaping and attempting to rape her.
Kendrapada SDPO Debendra Mallick said the girl was produced before the CJM-cum-principal Magistrate Juvenile justice board of Kendrapada and sent to Berhampur-based reformation centre.
Kudanagari Police station IIC P C Patyat said the CCTV footage established the involvement of the minor girl in the crime.
Polce also detained a hotel owner in connection with the case
and has been interrogating her.
Raids are on to nab other accused persons involved in the case, Patayat said.
A plus Two science girl student of a local college under Kudanagari police jurisdiction was allegedly abducted by two youths on October 17 last after she was given soft drink laced with drug by one of her classmates and helping the youths to rape her . But the girl managed to escape and lodged an FIR.
In her FIR filed on October 18, she alleged that she fell unconscious after she drank the cold drink offered by her classmate..When she regained her consciousness, she found herself in a room and her classmate along with the two youths
outraged her modesty by attempting to undress her .
When she screamed and attempted to shout for help,her classmate(girl friend ) forcibly hold her two legs and two youths , made an attempt to sexually abuse her.
When she attempted to rescue from their clutches,she was assaulted and later she was forcibly taken in a car and dropped near Narendrapur bridge on that evening at about 7 pm .
She sustained injuries on her face and body and failed to walk properly. Later, her family members rescued her in critical condition and rushed her to Patkura CHC for treatment .
Acting on the FIR, Kudanagari police registered a case under section Section 363,363(A),376,511,328,323IPC ;Section 8 of POCSO Act.
The BJP party activist of Patkura led by its state spokesman , Tejeswar Parida held demonstrated in front of the college and the Police station demanding arrest of all the accused.
