Odisha: Brief Rain-fall May Roll-back Cold

Bhubaneswar, Jan 24: After brief spell of light rainfall, in some parts of Odisha, during last couple of days, winter is set to return from January 26, says the Regional Meteorological Centre in here today.

According to MeT, the weather is likely to dry across Odisha with drop in mercury after January 26.

“No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next two days and gradual fall by 3 to 5 degree Celsius thereafter over the districts of Odisha,” a weather bulletin stated today. The bulletin forecasts rain  for several districts on Monday and Tuesday.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha between the aforesaid days.

Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of South Coastal Odisha, Jagatsinghpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Kandhamal and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha during January 25 to 26 morning.

The MeT also issued dense fog alert for some places in Odisha for next 3 days.
