Lucknow, Feb 6: Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has postponed the release of Lok Kalyan Sankalp patra (poll manifesto) today due to demise of Lata Mangeshkar.
UP BJP president Swantra Deo Singh announced this at a program where the manifesto was slated to be released.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had arrived in Lucknow for this manifesto release. UP CM Yogi Adityanath was also present at the venue.
A condolence was also held in presence of Amit Shah and Yogi Adityanath.
Now the release is expected to be held on February 8 while the first phase of polls is scheduled on February 10. However BJP leaders will continue their campaigning in a simple manner but no new program would be added in next two days.
