Lucknow, Jan 15: The Samajwadi Party-Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) alliance on Saturday released the names of candidates for seven seats across six districts for the first phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. All seven seats have gone to RLD.
The candidates are Ashraf Ali from Thanabhawan (Shamli), Rajpal Balyan from Budhana and Chandan Chauhan from Meerapur (both Muzaffarnagar), Surendra Kumar Munni from Moradnagar (Ghaziabad), Kiran Pal Singh from Shikarpur (Bulandshahr), Pramod Gaur from Barauli (Aligarh) and Veer Pal Singh Diwakar (Hathras).
The alliance has released a list of 29 candidates for the first phase — 19 of RLD and 10 of the Samajwad Party.
