Bhubaneswar: A woman allegedly committed suicide inside a rented house at Chandan Vihar under Bada Bazar Police Station in Berhampur after being left alone by her lover.
The body of the woman identified as Anjali Behera (24) of Dhaugan village in Dharakote block of Ganjam district was found hanging from the ceilling fan in the house on Sunday.
It is suspected that she committed suicide on Saturday. As she did not step out of the house till Sunday night and was not responding to the house owner, he had called her brother.
When Anjali’s brother Vicky Behera reached the rented house and opened the door, he found her hanging from the fan. On getting information, Bada Bazar Police reached the spot at around midnight and seized a suicide note.
In that suicide note, Anjali mentioned about her love life. It was revealed that Anjali was in love with one of her colleagues identified as Surya. Both of them were also having a live-in relationship.
