Safe Odisha Return: State Govt. Issues Control Room Numbers For Odias In Ukraine

Bhubaneswar, Feb 26: The Odisha Government on Saturday issued control room numbers for safe return of Odias stranded in war stricken Ukraine. Accordingly, the Resident Commissioner, New Delhi (Odisha Bhawan) has been designated as the Nodal Officer to liaise with Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs.

CM Naveen has further directed that Special Relief Commissioner’s Office will liaise with Resident Commissioner to facilitate the return of the stranded.

The control room with contact numbers 0674-2534177 and 7682982668 will operate round the clock.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has taken up the matter with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar to find ways and means of bringing back the stranded persons of Odisha from the conflict zone at the earliest.

The State Government will bear all the expenditure of their travel from Ukraine to New Delhi and to Bhubaneswar.

Family members of the stranded students have been requested to furnish the relevant particulars for sharing the same with Government of India for necessary support.
