Bhubaneswar: The State Election Commission (SEC), Odisha, on Saturday called for a high-level meeting over the underlying Covid-19 situation in the State keeping an eye on the panchayat polls.
The meeting was held at 11 am which was attended by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Jena.
Notably Additional Chief Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department Raj Kumar Sharma was also be present in the meet.
Addressing media persons after the meeting, Jena said that the SEC was briefed about the present Covid-19 situation in the State. The final decision on the panchayat polls will be taken by the Commission.
