Odisha’s Covid-19 Tally Crosses 10k Mark, 3 Deaths Recorded In Past 24 Hours

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Wednesday reported a massive surge in Covid cases with 10,059 fresh infections including 3,188 from Khordha have been detected in the last 24 hours.

The total cases include 872 in the 0-18 years age group have been found, informed the Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Department.

The highest of 3188 have been reported from Khurda followed by Sundargarh (1348), Cuttack (870) and Sambalpur (570).

Among the 10,059 positives, 5833 are quarantine cases and 4226 are local contacts. There are a total of 44,349 active cases. The new recoveries stand at 949. The positivity rate stands at 12.40%.

1. A 55 years old male of Angul district who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease & Severe Anemia.

2. A 60 years old male of Kendrapara district who was also suffering from Coronary Artery Disease, Acute coronary syndrome & Diabetes Mellitus.

3. A 85 years old male of Nayagarh District.
