The step taken by the chief minister Naveen Patnaik to change his ministry could not have been better timed.
It may be the outcome of a close scrutiny on performances of the individuals as ministers and introduction of new faces might have been necessitated after a sieving analysis in last few years.
Induction or reinduction of faces may have been taken keeping in view the ensuing general elections in 2024, an occasion that would count a lot for the chief minister who is on the run up to a record achievement for the sixth time. Which would be an unprecedented feat in Odisha’s political history.
Each step taken is measured by an integral calculus of politics and he must have realized the need for agitating the political sieve, to separate out some and add others.
As understood, induction of some new faces in the new ministry, has been aimed at steaming new enthusiasm and re-induction of old faces, is to administer experience into the delivery mechanism.
