Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police has issued a restriction on the sale of firecrackers ahead of the festival of lights Diwali. As informed by DCP Pinak Mishra, only license holders can sell firecrackers in Cuttack.
After a Covid hiatus, traders are hopeful of a good business as they have been allowed to set up temporary shops at earmarked places. They have to submit necessary papers to get the permission to sell firecrackers.
Only licensed shopkeepers can sell firecrackers. Strict action will be taken against those who indulge in the sale of firecrackers without proper license.
