Bhubaneswar: Two cattle smugglers were held following an exchange of fire with a team of Special Task Force (STF) of the Crime Branch near Judia ghati in Keonjhar on Wednesday.
Reportedly, cattle was being smuggled in five containers. On getting information, Keonjhar Police and STF intercepted the vehicles. Following it, the smugglers opened fire on the STF team.
The STF team also fired two rounds in retaliation and managed to overpower drivers of two containers, while three others managed to flee. Two containers have been seized and the drivers detained for interrogation.
