Sidharth Routray, a youth from Odisha’s Bhubaneswar was ecstatic along with his team members to have scaled Mt  Kilimanjaro.

It was October 22 when the team along with the guides started their venture to conquer Kilimanjaro.

When climbing up and up on that, frosty morning they noticed a thin ray of smokes snaking out along with ashes. A quick call to the rangers made them to know that, it was a wildfire which was heading in their directions.

Sidharth informed us over a Whataap chat that they decided to rather climb up to escape the inferno.

So they started climbing up and up and it was no less danger-packed.

More they were going closer up, stones from the Kalimanjaro started falling at intervals. A calculated risk had to be taken and they did.

They had started at noon and by sun down they could feel the temperature falling down and it was bit chilly.

The team never stopped, daring the imminent odds of time and from the nature.

The peaks were bathing in the evening sun set and the scene was amazing and breath taking.

Sidharth and his team continued. It was cooler as they went up and disk was menacingly beautiful.

It was around 7. 45 pm they struck the chord amid cheers reaching the peak of Mt Kalimanjaro range. “We were as if in cloud nine and the world was below gaping at us.

Now it was time for the team to negotiate the dangerous climb down to the base camp and they did and were back at the base camp.
