Bhubaneswar: A youth died after his motorbike was hit by a car in which popular opera (jatra) artist Rani Panda was travelling on Friday night.
Panda was on her way to Dudurkote village in Dhenkanal district to perform at a opera when the accident occurred at Dalkhai square on Mundali-Athagarh road.
The youth identified as Sukant Behera, a native of Rajanagar village under Athagarh police limits of Cuttack district, was seriously injured in the accident.
He was rushed to the SCB Medical College & Hospital in Cuttack where he breathed his last today morning.
On getting information, Athagarh Police rushed to the spot. Panda and the driver was detained for further questioning in connection with the incident.
