Balasore: A house was torched at Alipur village under Talanagar gram panchayat in Soro block of Balasore district on Friday night over past enmity.
Reportedly, Maheswar Barik of the village was fast asleep with his family when at around 1 am he suddenly heard the cracking sound of burning bamboo.
After getting up, he noticed fire at the back of the house. He woke up his family members and informed the villagers and fire brigade.
Barik allegedly had a fight with some person yesterday. It is suspected that the same person set the house on fire.
