POWER GREED! The Onus Lies On Some People For Being Accomplices To An Ill, Polluting Politics
By Sriyanka Sahoo
A leader in need is not just a leader indeed; but a human to rely upon at times when we literally need a true pathfinder for laying the way for public without the palms being greased raises so many questions on fair politics.
The fault doesn’t lie within the one who rule rather than a big fraction of Janata who have long time ago given a hint to the ‘Political’ leaders….(I repeat Political Leaders) for persuading them with money or minimal luxuries.
Those may be merely the false ecstacies for the one who feel a single vote can secure democracy but not for those needy ones who just get to experience such short-lived relief just for once in 5 years.
Vote-buying or poll freebies target targeted especially the needy or of the low-income groups by almost all parties inorder to have a hold on the so called ‘Power (Vote) Bank’ to recharge their tenures.
It is said that an offender is an offender but, the ones who remain as the invisible partners to such offences are always viewed as the accomplices those who deserve a wrap on their knuckles. Not the promoters of such offences.
Pointing fingers on the ‘Netaas’ won’t everytime serve the required purpose, instead, the one who gleefully receives a hefty lump sum without demanding a full tenured ‘VIKAS’ should be accountable to the society.
It is pertinent to mention that Rs 583 was spent on each vote according to a report by The Centre for Media Studies in June 3, 2019. That might be a recall of the past but, it cannot be said that, it is no more being adopted as a means to garner votes.
And now it’s ‘thought-worthy’ for you….Yes! You as a responsible citizen of India to calculate and assess the enormity of such funds by which polls are going on. An unjust means by which a ‘trust-worthy Sarkaar’ is being showcased in the political horizon.
