Hitch Zone Partners with M2P Fintech to Launch India’s Next-Gen NCMC Travel Card at GFF 2025

Mumbai, October 9, 2025: At the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2025, held at the Jio World Centre, Mumbai, hitch officially launched its new Prepaid/NCMC (National Common Mobility Card)–enabled travel card in collaboration with M2P Fintech. The launch marks a key milestone in India’s journey toward unified, cashless public transport payments.
The Global Fintech Fest, India’s flagship fintech event organized by NPCI, the Payment Council of India, and the Fintech Convergence Council, took place from October 7–9. The three-day event highlighted emerging innovation across payments, AI, financial inclusion, and regulatory frameworks shaping the sector.
Headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, hitch began with FASTag services and has since evolved into a comprehensive digital payments and utility platform offering cashback, rewards& discounts in transactions. Now operating as an independent fintech, hitch continues to expand its reach in embedded finance and mobility solutions.
M2P Fintech, one of India’s leading payments infrastructure providers, powers a wide range of solutions across card issuance, APIs, and embedded finance. Its collaboration with hitch enables seamless integration of NCMC functionalities into the new travel card ecosystem.
The newly launched hitch Prepaid Card is a contactless solution designed for use in metro networks and other public transport systems across major cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Jaipur & others. With simple tap-and-go functionality, commuters can skip ticket queues and use a single card across multiple transit systems where NCMC infrastructure is active.
As a RuPay-based card supported by NPCI, the solution aligns with the government’s “One Nation, One Card” vision — allowing users to top up online or offline and use the same card for metro travel and retail transactions.
The launch carries special significance for Odisha. This move not only strengthens financial inclusion efforts but also showcases the state’s growing presence in India’s fintech Industry.
With this initiative, hitch aims to simplify everyday travel, promote digital adoption, and contribute to a future of seamless mobility across India’s transport systems.
