No Alliance With Congress Or AAP After Polls: Amarinder

Chandigarh, Jan 22: Former Chief Minister and Punjab Lok Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh has made it clear that there is no question of alliance with Congress or Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) after the Punjab Assembly elections.

The PLC chief on Saturday tweeted that BJP, PLC and Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt) will win the election. He will soon visit all 117 assembly constituencies of Punjab and will meet people to deliver his message to them.
Stating that Badal and his Akali Dal are not good for Punjab, the former chief minister held Badal responsible for the 2015 sacrilege, drug abuse and mafia.

“I took the cases of sacrilege to the court as the Chief Minister despite several obstacles and also brought the sacrilege case back from the CBI.”

On AAP’s chief ministerial face Bhagwant Mann, Capt Amarinder said, “he (Mann) is only a comedian and Punjab is a border state. It has 600 km long border with Pakistan. Punjab does not need comedians. The people of Punjab will not fall under the guise of AAP or Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.”

The PLC chief said that in the MeToo case, being the Chief Minister he had asked Charanjit Channi to apologize to the lady officer.

“I told him that if she doesn’t forgive you then I will have to take action. But the lady officer accepted his apology and the matter was settled,” he added.
