Thiruvananthapuram, July 18: The IndiGo Airlines has reportedly imposed a three-week travel ban on LDF Convenor and CPI(M) Central Committee member EP Jayarajan in connection with issues related to an inside-flight protest against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The two Youth Congress workers who staged the protest against the Chief Minister were banned for travelling two weeks in international and domestic flights of IndiGo.
However, EP Jayarajan denied the media reports and said has not received any communication on travel ban against him.
The two Youth Congress activists, who managed to sneak into the Kannur- Thiruvananthapuram flight, staged the protest inside the flight in which Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was travelling from Kannur to Thiruvananthapuram.
Demanding the Chief Minister’s resignation in connection with the diplomatic baggage gold smuggling case, the Youth Congress men wearing black shirts and black masks shouted slogans against the Chief Minister after the flight landed at the Thiruvananthapuram Airport.
Suddenly, LDF Convenor EP Jayaran who was also in the flight along with the Chief Minister, pushed them away.
The agitators who alleged that they were manhandled by the EP Jayarajan, were identified as Youth Congress Mattannur Block Panchayat President Fardeen Majeed and Kannur District Secretary Naveen Kumar.
