Case Against Cong Leader For Insulting Sri Ram, Her House Vandalised

Puttur, June 19: The Dakshina Kannada police have registered a case against Congress leader Shylaja Amarnath for allegedly insulting Hindu Gods including Sri Rama with a nefarious design to create enmity between religions and disturb peace in society.

The complaint has been filed by Hindu organisations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal. They strongly condemned Shylaja’s alleged remarks on Sri Rama, Lord Hanuman and Goddess Sita, which she made on June 16.

Complaint also was lodged against Preethu Shetty alias Mahalaxmi, Anil and Puneet for allegedly mocking Lord Sri Rama, Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman, revered by Hindus.

Following this, a group of youth vandalised her house, smashed the window panes and smeared black ink over the premises.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Dr Y Bharath Shetty said the Congress will get decimated due to Sri Rama’s curse.
