Heinous! Assam Minor With Father Arrested For Rape And Murder Of 6-Year-Old Girl
Guwahati, Feb 16: A 15-year-old boy has been arrested by the Assam police in Hailakandi district on Wednesday for allegedly raping and killing a 6-year-old girl. The incident happened in Sultanicherra area in Kathlicherra assembly constituency of Hailakandi district. “We have arrested a minor for raping and killing a six year-old girl. The father of the accused has also been arrested as he tried to destroy the evidence related to the crime. Further investigations are underway,” Hailakandi SP Gaurav Upadhyay said.
The accused took the victim to a forest area, where he allegedly raped and killed the girl. The girl was reported to be missing since February 9. However, after three days of search, her body was recovered from the forest, which was sent for autopsy and medical examinations to the Hailakandi civil hospital.
