ED continues its search for second consecutive day against IAS officer Puja Singhal
Ranchi, May 7 : For the second consecutive day on Saturday teams of the Enforcement Directorate continued their search against senior IAS officer Puja Singhal and her close associates. As per sources teams of the ED are conducting their search across 11 locations on Saturday. Early morning a team reached at Pulse Hospital located in Bariyatu which is run by her husband Abhishek Jha and inspected some papers. On the other hand the security guards of the hospital were involved in heated arguments with the media persons who had gathered outside the hospital to cover the ED raid. Earlier on Friday the team of the ED had managed to recover Rs 19.31 crore in cash from the house of the CA of Puja Singhal, Suman Singh. The seizure was made from his house located in Hanuman Nagar of Ranchi. During the raid the team also recovered papers and documents related to property and investment worth Rs 150 crore. ED teams had also conducted raids at the house of her father-in-law Kameshwar Jha in Muzaffarpur, brother and parents living in New Delhi and other associates. Teams had also conducted search in Kolkata, Mumbai, Jaipur, Gurugram and Faridabad and had taken away all the documents which they had found. Action against the IAS officer and her associates has been initiated for her involvement in Mnrega Scam of Khunti district worth Rs 18 crore and irregularities committed in allocation of mines.
