Bhubaneswar: Blood Dipping Truck Loaded With Cow Hides Seized, Yet No Action
Bhubaneswar, Feb 10: A truck, loaded with Cow-Skin, a huge truck in-fact has been seized by animal lovers and youth against animal cruelty of Tamando village, the city outskirts here on the wee hours of Feb’ 9.
The local youths of Tamando who are tipped off about the illegal transportation of the said truck loaded with more than 25 tons of Cow-skin, with the help of animal-lovers have seized the vehicle along with the driver and helper crossing over, NH-5 here. The vehicle no- TSOSUB3879 has started from Adhra Pradesh to Kolkata with the illegal consignment.
What was more frightening was the manner in which such things are done. From the loaded truck blood and liquid was dipping down brazenly exposing the cruelty such traders commit.
In view of the above valid cause, they’ve lodged an FIR against the miscreants, transporter of the good under Prevention Of Cows Slaughter Act, Odisha, and also PCS Act, Govt. of India, along with the Vehicle owner and other involved parties such as the slaughter-house. In the FIR the complainant also framed the charge of criminal conspiracy act under MV Act, 1978 to kill general public by transporting Cow-skin in such hazardous condition, during this pandemic period.
It’s pertinent to say that the FIR is duly lodged with the signatures of witnesses and some local new channels of Bhubaneswar have covered the story for the cause of people and animal safety.
