Nuapada: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have apprehended an ICDS (Integrated Child Development Services) supervisor of Chatiaguda Sector under Sinapali Block in Nuapada while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 80,000.
ICDS supervisor identified as Harshamani Dei was caught red-handed while taking Rs 80,000 bribe for giving undue favors and giving appointment at the Sagunbadi Anganwadi Kendra.
Clueless victim informed the vigilance officials regarding the issue. Acting on the complaint, the officials laid a trap and caught him red-handed while accepting the bribe from the victim. The cops also recovered the bribe money from his possession.
The Vigilance team also conducted searches at three places of Harshamani including Khadial and Sinapali office in Nuapada district. Further investigation is underway in this matter.
