Odisha: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched various projects worth Rs. 1433 crore on 18th Nov’ for Keonjhar district to make it one of the progressive, developing and prosperous of the state. Kickstarting the distribution of Smart Health cards under Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) in the district, CM Patnaik said the state government has been giving importance to providing safe
drinking water to people.
He announced that piped water would be provided to all villages, towns and all families of Keonjhar district by December 2022. A mega Poultry project with an investment of Rs. 36 crore would be started soon in the district to increase the income of 30,000 ST people, he added.Â
The Chief Minister said under the BSKY about 4. 20 lakh poor families of the district will get the benefit of the smart health card. With this 13 of the 30 districts of the state were covered under the scheme. CM said the smart health card under the BSKY has shown the way to the whole country in the health care sector.
