Bhubaneswar : Another close aide of dreaded gangster Dhal Samanta brothers was arrested for his involvement in the sensational murder case of Manoj Mallick alias Dipu and Om Prakash Swain alias Om.
The accused, who has been identified as Pradeep Sahoo alias Dilu, was arrested from Rayagada by a special team of the Commissionerate Police. He was absconding for the last five years following the murder of Dipu and Om.
According to the Commissionerate Police, cops also said to have seized one pistol and six live bullets from his possession.
It is to be noted here that both Dipu and Om, who were associates of D-brothers, were kidnapped and beaten to death by the criminal siblings and their associates in a farmhouse near Ansupa in Athagarh on November 12, 2016.
The killers then took Dipu and Om’s bodies were taken to the West Singhbhum area in Jharkhand and buried them after burning them with petrol to destroy evidence.
