Balasore : In a major breakthrough, Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has apprehended an interstate drug peddler from Jaleswar Market in Balasore.
The accused has been identified as Sk Raju, son of Sk Jamsed Ali of Aradabazar Masjidgali, Balasore.
Reportedly, the officials conducted a raid at Jaleswar Market and arrested the accused involved in the illegal trade.
A case has been registered about the same and Sk Raju will be forwarded to the Court of District and Sessions Judge cum Spl. Judge, Balasore. Further investigation is underway to trace the people involved in the illegal business, sources said
Notably, on August 16, the STF team held three persons with the seizure of brown sugar worth around Rs 2.5 crores.
