Hamirpur will have a large irrigation project worth Rs 220 crore

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 220 crore for the construction of the massive Irrigation Project Hamirpur Coal Barrage to resolve the drinking water problem in Rourkela. The project will be built near Hamirpur. With the completion of the project, irrigation facilities in Shakti Nagar, Koel Nagar, Jagda, Jhirpani, Bisra block and Nuagaon block areas of Rourkela town will be sorted.

Farmers along with Raghunathpalli MLA Subrata Tarai and people’s representatives of Bisra and Nuagaon blocks were present at the Bisra Block office premises in Sundargarh district to thank Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 71.53 crore for the construction of water conservation and irrigation projects in Kinjirima in Sundergarh district.

The Chief Minister has been thanked in various quarters for approving the construction of the project in Sundergarh district. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned five secretaries for various projects. Karthikeyan Pandian informed.
