Bhadrak : In a major breakthrough, simultaneous raids are ongoing on properties of Sri Pravakar Pradhan, Ex-Sr. Clerk-cum-Cashier at Basudevpur Block of Bhadrak.
Odisha Vigilance sleuths today booked Pradhan on allegation of misappropriation of huge Government funds to the tune of Rs 20,25,000/- belonging to 34 IAY beneficiaries of Tihidi Block by transferring the same to SBI Accounts of his spouse, mother and 2 other relatives, during the financial year-2016-17 and 2017-18
In this connection Balasore Vigilance PS case No. 15 dt. 12.09.2021 U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c) PC Act, 1988/409/468/467/477-A/109 IPC has been registered against 1) Sri Pravakar Pradhan, Ex-Sr. Clerk-cum-Cashier, Tihidi Block, A/p-Section Officer of Basudevpur Block, Dist-Bhadrak, 2) Smt. Nitu Pradhan (wife), 3) Smt. Punimani Pradhan (mother), 4) Sri Ranjan Kumar Sahani(friend of Sri Pradhan’s relative) and others. Sri Pradhan, his spouse and Sri Ranjan Kumar Sahani have been detained. Further investigation continuing.
4 teams comprising 2 DSsP, 5 Inspectors and other staff conductin g raids at 5 places in Bhadrak and Balasore district. Detailed report follows.
