Keonjhar: An explosion occurred in the induction furnace at the KJS Ahluwalia steel plant in Barapada, under Rugudi police limits in Keonjhar district, causing partial damage to a parked truck laden with iron ore.
The incident took place near the blast furnace, and the exact reason for the blast remains unclear. Plant authorities have initiated an inquiry to determine the cause of the explosion.
Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported in connection with the incident. Upon being informed, company officials promptly notified the fire service personnel, who quickly reached the site and successfully brought the situation under control.
Local police also responded to the incident to assess the situation and assist in the ongoing investigation into the blast at the steel plant.
