UP: Vidhan Sabha Adjourned after Paying Tributes to CDS Gen Rawat

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha was adjourned till Thursday after paying tributes to Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Singh and other defence personnel, who died in chopper crash last week.
Tributes were also paid to sitting MLA and former Vidhan Sabha speaker Sukhdev Rajbhar, who passed away on October 18 this year.

It may be mentioned here that the three day winter session of the UP Vidhan Sabha commenced from Wednesday.
Leader of the House and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented the obituary motion as the house proceeding started. He hailed the valor, leadership qualities, patriotisms and commitment of General Rawat towards the security of the nation, he said that General Rawat’s contribution towards strengthening all the three forces will be always remembered.

Leader of the Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary, Congress MLA Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’ and members of Bahujan Samaj Party and Apna Dal also paid tributes to General Rawat and sitting MLA Sukhdev Rajbhar. The members observed two minutes silence after which the Speaker Hriday Narain Dixit adjourned the house till Thursday.
