Winter Session of Jharkhand Assembly to commence from Thursday

Ranchi: The winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly will commence from Thursday and will continue till December 22. During the week-long session, the house will have 5 working days.

On December 16, certified copies of the ordinances promulgated by the Governor will be laid on the table of the Legislative Assembly. There will also be a condolence motion. On 17 December, Question Hour and presentation of the second supplementary expenditure statement for the financial year 2021-22 will be held.

On December 18 and 19 there will be no meeting. On 20 December- General debate on Chief Minister’s Question Hour and Second Supplementary Expenditure Statement for the financial year 2021-22 will be held while on December 21 and 22 Question Hour and State Bills and other official business will be taken up in the house.

However, the session is likely to be disruptive as the opposition is all set to corner the government over a host of issues including the JPSC PT row, delay in the conduct of panchayat elections, law and order, crime against women, recruitment policy, employment generation for the youth etc.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on his part has maintained that the government is fully prepared to answer all the questions of the MLAs.
