Air Commodore Amiya Tripathy took charge as Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Bagdogra

Bagdogra, North Bengal, Jul 6 Air Commodore Amiya Tripathy has taken the charge of Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Bagdogra, replacing Air Commodore HS Sandhu on July 5, 2021.Mr Tripathy commissioned into the Helicopter stream of the IAF on December 4, 1991. was graduated from the National Defence Academy.

He has undergone the Staff Course at Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and is a postgraduate from College of Defence Management, Secunderabad.He is a qualified flying instructor with 5400 hrs of flying experience including extensive operational experience in the Western and Eastern sectors on various helicopters of the IAF. He also served in the UN mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.Before assuming command at AF Station Bagdogra, he was posted at Headquarters Integrated Defence Services, New Delhi.
