Jamshedpur : Body of lovers was found hanging on Friday from a tree at Lovjoda village under Bodam Police Station area of the East Singhbhum district.
The deceased have been identified as Jaideo Mahto (20) and Shyamali Gorai (17). Villagers saw the body and informed the police. Upon receiving information a police team reached on the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
Though police suspected that the duo had committed suicide villagers suspected the incident to be murder as the legs of both the deceased are touching the ground.
The officer in charge of Bodam Police Station Shankar Lakra said the duo have committed suicide over a love affair. Both of them hailed from the same village, he said adding further probe is on.
