Mumbai : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s lawyer Advocate Anand Daga in connection with alleged leakage of report giving clean chit to the leader in a corruption case.
Nagpur-based lawyer Annad Daga has been arrested from Worli here on Wednesday and taken to Delhi on transit remand.
A Sub Inspector of CBI was also arrested in the connection.
The report triggered a fresh political row with the Nationalist Congress Party and Congress demanding that the CBI should comment on the authenticity or otherwise of the report.
