Stock market opens green, BSE trading at 59,355.83, Nifty at 17,649.25

Mumbai : For the third consecutive day, the stock market opened in green territory on Wednesday with BSE Sensex trading at 59,355.83, up 428.50 or 0.73 per cent on Thursday.

Similarly, Nifty was trading at 17,649.25, up 102.60 or 0.58 per cent.

Among the pack of 30 stocks at BSE, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, SBI, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, Reliance were among the top gainers while Tech Mahindra, Titan, Asian Paint and TCS were among the top draggers.

On Wednesday, the market had closed in red, with Sensex shedding around 78 points and Nifty 15.35 points.

After a choppy session, the 30 share BSE Index had lost 77.94 points or 0.13 per cent at 58,927.33 while NSE Nifty slipped 15.35 points or 0.09 per cent to 17,546.65.
