IMD Warns Of Cold Wave In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A cold wave is expected to affect several parts of Odisha in the next two days due to the influence of dry and cold northwesterly/northerly winds, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The cold wave is likely to occur in the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, and Dhenkanal today, and in the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Kandhamal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Angul, and Dhenkanal on Sunday.

The IMD advises people to stay indoors during the night and early morning, to wear multiple layers of clothing to protect against the cold, to provide shelter for livestock at night, and to avoid traveling at night, especially on motorcycles or in open vehicles.
