After Samarth, Another Boy ‘Kidnapped’ In Odisha’s Jharsuguda

Days after the kidnap and murder of a businessman’s minor son Samarth Agrawal of Sarbahal areas of Odisha’s Jharsuguda could be erased from people’s minds, another minor boy has been allegedly kidnapped in the district. This back-to-back incident has sent shockwaves across Odisha raising serious law and order concerns.

According to reports, the victim’s mother had fallen ill and hospitalised on April 7 and his father accompanied his wife to the hospital. The boy was at home with his brother and went missing from there. He was last seen standing in front of the house on April 7.

The boy’s mother was hospitalised on the very day due to illness while his father was also present at the hospital. The boy was at his house with his brother during the period. He was last seen standing in front of the house on the fateful day.

Meanwhile, Jharsuguda police has launched a search operation to trace the kidnapped minor boy. A kidnapping case has been lodged as per the complaint of the minor’s family, informed Jharsuguda SP.

It is worthwhile to mention that Samarth Agarwal, son of a businessman in mineral-rich Jharsuguda, was abducted on March 27 and his body was found in Bargarh on March 28.

Later, police arrested two persons- Amit Kumar Sharma of Jharsuguda and Dinesh Kumar Agarwal of Brajrajnagar in connection with the case.
