In the 10-second-long video, the black butterflies can be seen gathered around the mud puddle and fluttering their wings. “Mud puddling. A behaviour where butterflies congregate around mud, dung, water etc to suck up the required fluids & salt. The music of forest is additional here. Field visit (sic),” Parveen Kaswan wrote sharing the video.
The video has garnered over lakh views on Twitter leaving people curious about the phenomenon. Many also called the sight of their gathering ‘beautiful.’ A user commented, “Sometimes I wonder how did mother earth create such simple yet beautiful parts of nature.”
