A Sub-Inspector of Khandagiri Police Station, Susanta Kumar Swain, here along with a private individual was today caught red-handed while demanding and accepting Rs 50,000 bribe from a complainant.
According to an official press communique issued by the Vigilance, Susanta Kumar Swain, SI of Police Khandagiri Police Station was caught red-handed by the officials of the anti-corruption agency while he was demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a person in order to help him in a case earlier registered in Khandagiri Police Station.
Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case no. 9/2023U/s-7PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and further investigation is underway, added the official.
