In View Of Summer; Morning classes in Odisha schools from April 11
In view of the summer ahead, the Odisha government on Saturday announced that all government and private schools across the state will have morning classes from April 11.
According to a notification issued by Odisha Information and Public Relations (I&PR) department, the morning classes will start at 7 am and will continue till 11.30 am.
The Collectors have been asked to change the timings as per the heatwave situation in their districts.
The department also stated that the new academic session of the schools will begin from April 3 and the admission will be held between April 3 and 8.
Earlier in the day, School and Mass Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash flagged off the vehicles carrying the Odia textbooks of Classes I to VIII for the students in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.
