Banda (UP), Mar 31: A woman was beaten to death by her son allegedly over petty dispute in Naraini area of Banda district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a senior officer said here.
Circle Officer (CO) Naraini Nitin Kumar said that an information was received that Ram Babu, a resident of Raj Nagar, has brutally assaulted his mother Ramanandi with a stick injuring her seriously. “The police immediately reached the spot and Ramanandi was taken to the community health center,” he said.
The CO said that from CHC Ramanandi was referred to the district hospital, but she died midway. “On the complaint of the younger son of the deceased a case was lodged at Naraini police station and Ram Babu was arrested. He is being sent to jail in judicial custody,” he said.
