An old photo of a gigantic bat in the Philippines has resurfaced on Twitter, leaving social media users stunned. The pic shows a “human-sized” bat hanging from a wire outside a building in the Philippines.
A Twitter user ‘@AlexJoestar622’ shared it on Twitter. He captioned, “Remember when I told y’all about the Philippines having human-sized bats? Yeah, this was what I was talking about.”

Yeah, this was what I was talking about.” Netizens were not stunned by the size of the bat. They had a variety of theories. One stated at the time, “Good try to fake. If the pic’s animal is real, that tiny cable where it holds would broken because of his weight (sic).” Many believed it was impossible for a bat to be of that size.

A Twitter user commented, “I can confirm this, they have a huuuuuge wingspan but the bodies are not really that big, more or less like the same body as a medium (a bit smaller) sized dog. He also added that the bats are ‘really gentle.’ The bat is said to be six-year-old. Such bats are quite common in the Philippines
