PM, BJP leaders pay tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 105th birth anniversary
New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paid tributes to former leader of Bharatiya Jana Sangh Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his 105th birth anniversary.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji, the pioneer of integral Manav Darshan on his birth anniversary. He dedicated his life to nation building. His thoughts will always inspire the countrymen,”.
BJP president JP Nadda also paid the floral tribute on his birth anniversary at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
“Today the picture of India is changing due to the plans of the Modi government and there has been a big uplift in the global situation of India, the ideological journey of all of them starts with the thought of Pandit Deendayal ji,” he told the reporters.
He said Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji was a politician, an organizer and a thinker. Today BJP is taking forward his journey of Integral Humanism.
Mr Nadda also honored the senior workers in the Senior Worker Award Ceremony held in the Central Office.
National General Secretary BL Santosh and Arun Singh along with other senior leaders were present on the occasion.
Paying tribute to Deendayal Upadhyay, Union Home Minister Amit shah said visionary politician Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay ji guided the country from time to time with his thoughts and philosophy to solve various challenges and problems.
“Pandit ji’s mantra of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya will always inspire us for public welfare and service to the nation,” he said in a tweet.
Upadhyaya was a RSS thinker and former leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, the forerunner of BJP. He was the president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh from 1967 till 1968.
He died near Mughalsarai Junction railway station in Uttar Pradesh under mysterious circumstances in February 1968.
