In a tragic incident, Four Fire Service personnel sustained varying degrees of burn injuries after an LPG cylinder blast near Chownagarpur Bazar under Burla police station in Odisha’s Sambalpur district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the fire service personnel were injured in the gas cylinder blast during a fire fighting operation.
On receiving information that a fire broke out in a tea shop, the firefighters reached the spot and were trying to douse the flame when the tragic incident took place.
Among the four fire service personnel who have been injured in the incident, two have been shifted to Burla Medical College and Hospital in Sambalpur and two others have been admitted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
