Sambalpur: Around 1.3 kilogram of ganja worth approximately Rs 13 lakh was seized from three vehicles by the Excise Department during patrolling at Sasan toll gate and Rampela in Sambalpur district on Saturday.
The ganja was being transported from Bargarh to Bilaspur and Angul to Noida when the vehicles were intercepted. The three vehicles have been seized and six persons have been arrested in this connection.
The accused persons had designed a secret compartment and cleverly placed it in the CNG tank of the vehicle to smuggle the ganja. As per the last reports, the accused persons have been court forwarded.
