Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: The Officials of Special Task Force (STF) have seized approximately 22 kgs of brown sugar, 2524 kgs of Ganja, 202 grams of Cocaine, 517 grams of opium and Rs 65 lakh in cash during 2022.
STF sources here on Saturday said during the period, movable and immovable properties worth more than Rs 12.85 crore of the drug traffickers has been seized and forefeited in NDPS cases.
The STF also destroyed 22 kg of brown sugar and 38 quintals of Ganja during the period.
The sleuths of STF seized the skin of a Royal Bengal Tiger, 14 Leopard skins, one Leopard cat skin, nine live pangolins and more than 22 kgs of Pangolin scales, 14 elephant tusks, two Leopard teeth, 29 leopard claws and 46 live wild parrots during 2022.
As many as 14 fire arms, 60 ammunitions, eight magazines and more than 47 lakh fake currency notes were also seized by the STF during 2022.
In addition to it 338 tons of hard coke, 72 tons of coal, 730 tons of chromite and 31 tons of Australian coke was seized during the said period.
