Keonjhar: The owner of a grocery shop and his wife died after sustaining bullet injuries at Lasarda village under Bolani police limits of Keonjhar district on Monday night.
The deceased persons have been identified as Laxmidhar Apat and Manjulata Apat.
Reportedly, around four to five bike-borne miscreants arrived at Laxmidhar’s shop yesterday and open fired on him and his wife. Their 11-year-old son escaped narrowly.
While political rivalry is suspected to be the reason behind the crime, Bolani Police have initiated a probe to ascertain the truth.
