NCB made me scapegoat, says accused
Mumbai, Sep 3 :An accused in a drug case linked to late actor Sushant Singh Rajput has claimed in a special court that he has been made a scapegoat by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers who wanted to nab high-profile persons and Bollywood actors.
In his bail application, Anuj Keshwani, who has been in judicial custody for the past two years, alleged that the NCB officers planted the drugs in his house. He said he had been made a scapegoat.
Their aim, his application said, was to establish a link between all the co-accused and Keshwani since they had made the alleged commercial quantity recovery from him so as to level serious charges.
The prosecution claimed that he search of his house led to the recovery of 585 grams of charas, 270 grams of marijuana and 0.62 grams of LSD.
