Cabinet decides to rename Aurangabad & Osmanabad
Mumbai,July 16 : The state cabinet on Saturday has taken a decision to rename Aurangabad and Osmanabad as Sambhajinagar and Dharashiv respectively.
The cabinet meeting presided over by Chief minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy chief minister Devendra Fadanvis have also decided to rename the International Airport in Navi Mumbai as Loknete D B Patil.
Notably, the same decision was taken by the previous Thackeray government, which was rejected by Shinde-Fadanvis state government.
After the announcement of postponing the decision Shiv Sena had protested across the state .
The state cabinet also gave approval in principle to raise loan of 60,000 crores to MMRDA.
Also, in the first phase, the government will guarantee an amount of 12,000 crores.
