Bhubaneswar : The state government will today honour all Odia athletes who took part in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. The Chief Minister will felicitate the Odia players at Kalinga Stadium. The Indian team, which has performed the best ever at the Tokyo Olympics, has returned home and Odisha’s Olympians are also back to their soil.
Deep Grace Ekka and Namita Toppo of the women’s hockey team are back with Olympic bronze medalists Amit Rohit Das and Birendra Lakra . The players were given a grand welcome at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. At the airport, the state sports minister and sports secretary welcomed all the players. Former Indian hockey captain Dilip Tirkey also welcomed the players.
